The Sigma Ergo-Lift 1E is an aluminium tile handling and laying tool built for heavy tiles — it lets you lower a tile flat to the floor while staying upright, taking the strain out of laying large or thick formats.

Features:

  • Two Pro-Grip suction cups with a continuous vacuum gauge readout, gripping securely even on structured or textured tile surfaces
  • Raised handles keep the operator in an upright position — particularly suited to laying thick tiles (up to 2cm)
  • Handles are removable for convenient use when laying lighter tiles during setting
  • Customisable positioning of both handles and suction cups
  • Lightweight but sturdy aluminium frame construction
  • Handles tile formats from 60x60cm up to 180x80cm
  • Maximum load capacity: 70kg
  • A pair of Ergo-Lifts can be used together to move particularly heavy tiles

Everything you need to know about Sigma Ergo-Lift 1E

The Ergo-Lift 1E is CE marked and built for one job: getting large, heavy tiles safely off the ground and down into position without the operator having to stoop or strain. It's rated to handle tiles from 60x60cm right up to 180x80cm, with a maximum load capacity of 70kg per unit — and a second Ergo-Lift can be added for particularly heavy pieces.

The two Pro-Grip suction cups are the key to its versatility, holding fast even on structured, textured, or lightly rippled tile surfaces where a standard flat suction cup would struggle. Each cup carries its own vacuum gauge, so you can see the hold strength at a glance rather than guessing.

In use, the raised handle position is what sets it apart: it lets you lower a tile flat to the floor while standing upright, which matters most with thick tiles (up to 2cm) where bending and precise placement together get tiring fast. Once a tile's roughly set, the handles unclip, and the low-profile frame becomes easy to work around during final adjustment and grouting.

For lighter, single-handed lifting jobs — carrying one tile across a room, or positioning it before cutting — the Rubi Ellip High Capacity Suction Cup is the simpler, one-hand tool. The Ergo-Lift is built for the heavier, two-point job of carrying and laying full-size floor tiles as a team.
