Spacers left sitting high in a joint show through the grout or leave thin spots that can crack later. Most tilers take them out before grouting, but prising them out with fingers, a knife or a screwdriver is slow and can chip the tile edges.

The popper gets under the spacer and levers it out of the joint in one movement. The DuraSoft handle and finger guard keep your grip steady when you're working along a long run of joints on a wall or floor.

Use it once the adhesive has firmed enough that the tiles won't move, but before it has fully set around the spacers. Reusable spacers, such as the Barwalt Dual-Sided Spacers 2mm, can then be cleaned and used again on the next job.
