AquaTank Self Adhesive Tanking Tape is a butyl-backed, self-adhesive fleece tape for sealing corners, joints and pipe penetrations before waterproofing and tiling wet areas.

AquaTank Self Adhesive Tanking Tape combines a butyl adhesive backing with a reinforced fleece surface. Butyl is one of the most trusted materials in professional waterproofing, since it stays permanently flexible and won't harden, crack or lose adhesion as a building settles or moves over time.
It's designed to lock down the most vulnerable points in a wet area installation before a single tile goes up: floor-to-wall junctions, internal and external corners, joints between boards, pipe penetrations and waste outlet surrounds. At 75mm wide, it offers noticeably greater coverage than many standard waterproofing tapes, and bonds reliably to plasterboard, cement-based boards, screeds and concrete substrates.
Once the tape is firmly in place at all critical junctions, it's overcoated with AquaTank Neo-Flex Membrane to complete a continuous, reliable waterproof barrier. For porous substrates such as plasterboard, priming first helps the tape achieve maximum adhesion. It's not suitable for high-heat areas such as saunas or steam rooms, or for surfaces treated with oil-based or stearate coatings.
